"Dream - Hajj pilgrims in the year 1445 H/2024 M will receive full consumption services while in Mecca. Including during the peak of Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna)."
The text translates to: "The words of Kasi Konsumsi PPIH Arab Saudi from Makkah, Beny Darmawan, quoted from the Kemenag website, Wednesday, June 12, 2024."
"In addition, the pilgrims will also receive one meal with ready-to-eat food on 8 Zulhijjah 1445 H and one meal with ready-to-eat food on 13 Zulhijjah 1445 H," he continued.
During the peak of the hajj in Armuzna, pilgrims will receive 15 meals. "In total, all pilgrims will receive 15 servings of food, including six servings of ready-to-eat meals and nine servings of fresh food," he said.
"lanjutnya" translates to "continue."
Beny said, the consumption package has been delivered along with the arrival of the pilgrims in Armuzna. For six meals, the pilgrims receive ready-to-eat food. The pilgrims only receive the side dishes. Later, there will be officers who prepare freshly cooked rice in the kitchen, both in Arafah and Mina," he said.
He explained, each dormitory is equipped with a kitchen to process pre-packaged foods that have been sent in advance. So that the pilgrims can process them conveniently. PPIH, through the Masyariq team, also provides additional snacks. Like when the pilgrims are about to move from Arafah to Mina on the 9th of Zulhijjah, everyone receives a snack package.
"Besides that, the congregation also still receives a complementary consumption package in the form of beverage ingredients. Such as coffee, creamer, cups-spoons, and others that are placed in the package," he said.
Beny ensures that the quality of the food provided is very suitable for the congregation, including the elderly. He mentioned that all of Armuzna's consumption menus have been adjusted to suit the taste of the local congregation. "All of the ingredients are elderly-friendly. Like the soft rice that is easily digested. Also, other ingredients," he said. "The menus are also typical Indonesian dishes. Starting from rendang, gulai, and others," he added.
Therefore, all pilgrims are advised not to bring cooking equipment while in Armuzna. PPIH has also prepared a supply of pebbles for the stoning of the devil ritual for all pilgrims. "Pilgrims do not need to bring rice, rice cookers, or kettles for cooking," he said.
This innovation was first carried out in organizing the hajj pilgrimage with a normal quota, and there was even an addition. The same thing was done in 2022, but at that time it was still during the pandemic and the quota did not reach 50% of the normal amount.
Pilgrims are asked to immediately rest in the tents that have been provided after completing the series of hajj rituals.
