For the Galaxy Z Flip5, Samsung has introduced design updates, one of which is on the front screen or cover screen. Now, the Galaxy Z Flip5 cover screen is larger, allowing for access to more applications.

With the larger cover screen on the Galaxy Z Flip5, users can now access 13 widgets and various other applications. Samsung states that they intentionally provide a more spacious cover screen to meet consumer needs.

From internal research, it was found that 57 Galaxy Z Flip4 users needed a cover screen that could be used for various activities.

Verry Octavianus, Product Marketing Manager of Samsung Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 cover screen is not only designed to be larger but also multifunctional.

This is done to make users' daily lives more seamless.

"On this screen, you can reply to WhatsApp messages when you might be busy on your way to the office. Users can also watch Netflix on the cover screen," said Verry.

Here are a series of activities that Galaxy Z Flip5 users can do on the cover screen of their devices:

1. Check Notifications and Reply to Messages Directly

It cannot be denied that smartphone users frequently check their devices to see if there are any notifications.

Therefore, with the larger cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip5, Samsung allows users to view various notifications more comprehensively compared to its predecessor.

Users can view calendar notifications and messages. Applications like WhatsApp and Samsung Message can also be accessed and replied to on the cover screen. This is because the cover screen now can display a virtual QWERTY keyboard.

2. Watch Netflix

The need for entertainment on a device can be accessed through the Galaxy Z Flip5 cover screen. Applications like Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify can be accessed and operated with one hand when opened on the cover screen.

When the Galaxy Z Flip5 phone is connected to Galaxy Buds series earbuds, users can control them from the cover screen.

3. Open Google Maps from the Cover Screen

A larger cover screen also allows users to more freely open map or financial applications.

Samsung states that users can open Google Maps directly from the cover screen. For example, to check the route of the intended trip.

Another example is the Google Finance application. So, if the stock market is already open, you can quickly check the cover screen to decide whether to buy or sell your stock assets.

4. Various Widget Variations for a Larger Cover Screen

A larger cover screen means more widgets that can be displayed. For example, you can check the weather forecast and view daily schedules on the calendar.

You can also access the voice recorder directly on the cover screen. Various widgets like a stopwatch can also be placed on the cover screen.

Users can also switch from one widget to another with the multi-widget view, which can be activated by pinching the screen.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 is priced starting from Rp15,999,000 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory version. It is also available for Rp17,999,000 for the 8GB RAM and 512GB internal memory version.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold5 is priced at Rp25,000,000 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory version, Rp27,000,000 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB internal memory version, and Rp30,000,000 for the 12GB RAM and 1TB internal memory version.
