Honda 'Spill' New Car Ready to Launch This Week, Brio Facelift?

Dream - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) is rumored to be launching a new car on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Jakarta. It is widely circulated that the car is the Brio facelift with several innovations and technologies.

"In line with the vision and mission, Honda is bringing new excitement to the development of innovations and the latest technologies that are incorporated into every variant of cars from various segments," said HPM in an invitation letter received by the editorial team Otosia.com, quoted on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

In the invitation, HPM stated that they will present their newest car variant.

"On this occasion, PT Honda Prospect Motor will present the latest variant to complete the lineup of Honda cars in Indonesia," it continued.

There will also be minor changes to all variants, both RS and Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) segments such as type E and S.

Minor changes to this Brio are said to provide a more attractive appearance. With the addition of start-stop engine technology, this city car and LCGC will be more fuel efficient.

The addition of new features is estimated to include a new grille design and wheels, start-stop engine. This refreshment is expected to bring the selling price of Brio LCGC closer to Rp200 million. Meanwhile, the overall body is likely to remain unchanged.

Previously, the price of Brio varied greatly depending on the type, starting from Honda Brio Satya S M/T Rp164.4 million to Honda Brio RS CVT Urbanite Edition Rp243.9 million.

In terms of appearance, the exterior of Brio Satya and Brio RS are not much different. The distinguishing factor between the two types is the wheels used. Brio Satya uses steel wheels, while Brio RS has a more stylish design and larger size.

Honda has also added features to enhance comfort, such as a 2DIN head unit with USB port, radio, and connectivity to iPhone and iPod. There is also a hands-free phone feature that makes it easier for drivers.

Audio and hands-free phone features are available on the steering wheel, but only available in Brio Satya type E. For safety features, Brio has Dual Front SRS Airbags and G-CON + ACE body frame structure to reduce the risk of accidents.
