Ramadan Runway 2023 Presents Muslim Fashion Trends and Generates Revenue of Rp6.5 Billion

Dream - Ramadan Runway 2023 was successfully held. The increase in revenue and number of visitors was better than the previous year.

"Based on the data collected, both the number of visitors and total sales value have increased compared to the previous year," said Dana Duriyatna, Chairman of the Ramadhan Runway 2023 Committee, at the Ramadan Runway event in Kota Kasablanka, Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Total revenue of Ramadan Runway 2023 reached Rp6.5 billion. This significant value gives hope that the fashion industry in the country is ready to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Expected to Become a Benchmark for Muslim Fashion

"Ramadan Runway is expected to become an annual discourse that contributes information about Muslim brands that are expected to become a benchmark for Muslim fashion trends in Indonesia," added Dana.

Through Ramadan Runway, fashion designers can directly sell their products to individuals, both retail and wholesale resellers.

Ramadan Runway will not stop at this year alone. It is ensured that this agenda will continue in the following years.

The Colorful Hues of Cultural Diversity at Ramadan Runway 2023

Dream - The Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs Association (APPMI) together with Kota Kasablanka held Ramadan Runway 2023. This 11th event featured a variety of modest fashion collections from renowned Indonesian fashion designers to Muslim fashion brands from April 12 to 30, 2023.

The fashion collection carries the theme Dazzling Mubarak. It hopes to reflect the beauty of the month of Ramadan as a month full of blessings that can be seen in the fashion designs and every ecosystem of Muslim fashion within it.

"Ramadan Runway 2023 is expected to be a platform for players in the creative industry, especially Muslim fashion, to showcase their best fashion designs and have a positive impact during the holy month of Ramadan," said Dana Duriyatna, Executive Chairman of Ramadan Runway 2023, at the Ramadan Runway event in Kota Kasablanka, Friday, April 14, 2023.

The Ramadan Runway 2023 event is held to respond to the growth of the Indonesian Muslim fashion industry, which has not only become a host in its own country but has also gone global.

"Ramadan Runway 2023 is expected to be the best way to strengthen the Indonesian Muslim fashion ecosystem. One of the ways, and most importantly, is by promoting Indonesian culture in the domestic Muslim fashion industry," explained Poppy Dharsono, Chairman of the Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs Association (APPMI), at the same event.

Dazzling Ramadan Theme

The colorful hues of Ramadan were evident in the fashion show featuring renowned Indonesian fashion designers, including Al Syarif, Ariy Arka, Ayu Dyah Andari, Chintami Atmanegara, Dana Duriyatna, Defrico Audy, Erdan, Itang Yunasz, Ivan Gunawan, Coenrad by Kunce Manduapessy, L by LCB, Leny Rafael, Ria Miranda, RRYNI House x Rita Batik, SI.SE.SA, and many more.

"This time, with the concept of Dazzling Mubarak, there will be more than 60 brands of modest fashion and other products to support the appearance during Hari Raya and serve as a reference for matching fashion trends for the upcoming Hari Raya Look," said Lusiana, Director of Kota Kasablanka, at the same event.
