Popmangun's Touch at the First SSS Boutique, 'Heaven' for Sports Enthusiasts

Dream - Collaborating with renowned visual artist Popomangun, Navya Retail Indonesia opens the Sun & Sand Sports (SSS) store in Pondok Indah Mall 3, South Jakarta.

Popomangun is a visual artist or graphic designer whose works are displayed at many local and international festivals, always bringing Indonesian culture.

In this first SSS boutique in Indonesia, Popomangun adds his artistic touch with a work titled Jaya Raga Mirangga Bhineka Tunggal Ika.

Inspired by the title of a band's song from Jakarta, Ramayana Soul, this artwork by Popomangun tries to depict the fact that true physical health comes from a healthy mind or soul.

"Jaya Raga Jiwa (Victorious Body and Soul) becomes a mantra for those who want to achieve solid health through sports, where sports and space intersect closely," said Putri Yunida Anggarani, Senior Public Relations Staff, on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

This concept is interpreted by Popomangun into the sharp lines silhouette of each limited space amidst the hustle and bustle and towering buildings in the capital city. 

With his expertise, Popomangun creates a design that brings forth capital city icons such as the Welcome Statue depicted as star patterns, thus presenting a broader meaning of providing hope even though it is limited by space.

"Popomangun's artwork will be displayed in the fitting room area and several other spots inside the SSS boutique at PIM 3, adding aesthetic value and providing an interesting and fresh impression for all visitors," said Putri Yunida in her recent statement.
