“Starting off in 2023, MG is back with our flagship SUV, with a completely new appearance, from the exterior, interior, engine performance, to the advanced and reliable connectivity that is embedded in this New MG HS SUV,” said Marketing and PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia, Arief Syarifudin, during the launch of the New MG HS in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

This SUV comes in 4 attractive color options starting from Metal Ash Grey, Scarlet Red, Black Knight, and Arctic White.

What about the price? The New MG HS is priced at Rp455,800,000 for the Activate type, Rp499,800,000 for the Ignite type, and up to Rp545,800,000 for the Magnify type.

Beyond Performance

The New MG HS offers a responsive driving experience with a 1.490 cc DOHC 4 Cylinder 16 Valve Turbo TGI engine that produces 162 PS at 5,600 rpm to get your adrenaline pumping. 

Combined with the 1.5L Turbo Direct Injection Engine, 7-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Transmission (TST), and 5 Driving Modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Super Sport & Custom), the NEW MG HS will adapt to the user's driving style. 

Beyond Design

The exterior of the New MG HS features the latest 3rd Generation MG Family Design Language, showcasing the classical British design lines typical of MG cars. 

It also features a Digital Flaming Grille and Rotating Tomahawk Alloy Wheels with Red Calipers to enhance the sporty impression. Meanwhile, its Full LED Projector Headlights bring the latest Intelligent High-Beam Control technology.

The New MG HS car features cutting-edge technology called i-SMART, which is an intelligent technology that connects the driver with the MG car. 

This technology will monitor the car's condition, provide real-time weather information as well as information about interesting places to visit, and store them on the Infotainment System screen. 

Artificial Intelligence (AI) behind i-SMART works through voice commands, touchscreen, and the MG i-SMART app on smartphones. One form of the advanced i-SMART technology is through Smart Command, where the driver can make phone calls or open the Electric I-MAX Panoramic Sunroof through voice commands. 

The connectivity that is the advantage of the New MG HS also provides driving comfort with the Digital Key technology, a feature that allows users to operate the vehicle by receiving and sending digital keys through the i-SMART app.

The New MG HS has safety features such as Euro Tuning Suspension and Advanced Synchronized Protection System, which is an enhanced safety system that meets European standards and has 25 safety features that work together to provide maximum user safety. 

Among them are aids such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Intelligent High-beam Control (IHC), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
