The New SUV Starts Shipping to Customers in November 2023

Dream - PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) unveiled their latest product, The New SUV, in Jakarta on Monday, July 31, 2023.

Seiji Watanabe, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors Design Division, stated that this latest product represents a new style of Mitsubishi SUV design, with a wide appearance that exudes a rugged impression.

"In addition to the strong and powerful design character of Mitsubishi Motors, we are pursuing a design that is more stylish, energetic, and different from before," said Seiji.

This new model will be assembled at Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia located in Bekasi, West Java, and delivery will begin in November 2023.

Based on the "Silky & Solid" design concept, this SUV comes with an authentic wide design that is stylish and robust, combining elegance and toughness. For now, the car, still referred to as The New SUV, is available in two colors, gray and yellow.

Adapting to road conditions in its target market, especially in Indonesia, Mitsubishi has developed four driving modes that are claimed to be very suitable for consumers in this area, including Wet, Normal, Gravel, and Mud.

These four driving modes allow the vehicle to maneuver in various road conditions through integrated control from Active Yaw Control (AYC).

The AYC feature is embedded to enhance control capabilities by adjusting the driving force on the left and right front wheels, traction control that controls tire movement, engine control, and power steering control.

In this latest SUV, Mitsubishi has incorporated a premium audio concept through a collaboration between Mitsubishi engineers and Yamaha audio technicians.

Yamaha, which is professional in the field of musical instruments, has designed a system for vehicles for the first time, not only increasing volume but also sound quality. The collaborative audio technology in The New Mitsubishi SUV, called Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium, is claimed to be able to create a personal music concert inside the car.

Until the exterior of The New SUV was revealed, the name and price of this latest Mitsubishi car product have not been mentioned. The SUV will be fully and detailedly launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 in BSD-City, Tangerang, from August 10-20.

Prior to this, MMKSI has opened a pre-order session since May 2023 until a later determined deadline.
