On Friday, August 30, 2024, the handover of Wuling EV units to the State Secretariat was carried out as a sign of the beginning of Wuling's participation as the official car partner at HLF-MSP and the 2nd IAF 2024. During the event, 158 units of Wuling electric vehicles were symbolically handed over as a form of Wuling's commitment to supporting environmentally friendly mobility during this international forum. At least there are representatives from 52 countries from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific Islands planned to attend this summit.
"We from Wuling Motors would like to thank the Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia for choosing the Wuling EV electric vehicle as the mode of mobility for delegates and state guests in international-level activities," said Wang Weisen, Vice President of Wuling Motors in his speech. He added that Wuling's participation in international activities began with the G20 in 2022 and until now, Wuling continues to be trusted as the official car partner in high-level conferences."
"As part of a series of activities, Wuling has prepared 42 units of Cloud EV to support the operational protocols and rescue units in the VVIP series, while 100 units of BinguoEV will be used as vehicles for the delegates."
"The two Wuling EV models above have been produced at the Wuling factory in Cikarang with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of more than 40%."
"We hope that Wuling can continue to collaborate with the Indonesian government for other international activities in the future as a manifestation of the commitment of the Ministry of State Secretariat in supporting the transformation of environmentally friendly transportation technology in Indonesia," said the Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, Eka Denny Mansjur. To ensure the readiness of the vehicles, Wuling has made various preparations, including the shipment of EV units to Bali since August 25, 2024, and final inspections before operations.
"Wuling also provides maintenance and vehicle charging facilities that operate 24 hours in the Jimbaran area, as well as special training for drivers assigned to operate the vehicles during the event."
