Employer with a Noble Heart Continues to Pay Salary to Deceased Employee, Despite Declining Business

Dream - An employer in China continues to pay a salary of 800 yuan (around Rp1.78 million) to the wife and family of a deceased staff member.

According to World of Buzz, the employer named Wang Feng has been paying the salary for 3 years, after the death of the employee in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic.

Wang said that the amount may not be much, but it is enough for them to meet their basic needs in life.

The purpose of Wang's actions is to ensure that the family experiencing financial crisis can survive.

According to CNNB, Wang will stop sending the salary after the employee's 2 children graduate from college, which means it will continue for a long time as their children are still in elementary and secondary school.

The deceased worker's name was Chen. In May 2022, Chen fainted in the bathroom while taking a shower. He was immediately sent to the ICU after doctors found a blood clot in his brain.

Unfortunately, nine days later, he did not survive. Chen was the backbone of the family, and since his death, Wang has been supporting Chen's family up until now.

The family also includes an 80-year-old widowed grandmother who is currently ill.

Wang said that he was raised in a village, so he can understand Chen's family situation well.

"I hope my efforts will help them have a better life that they deserve," said Wang.

Chen's brother, Sin Chew, also stated that Wang's business suffered significant losses during the peak of the pandemic, but it did not stop his willingness to continue paying Chen's salary.

"Wang Feng truly has a good soul," he said.
