This also confirms that the companies under his supervision have no history of debt to the government related to the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI).

"If I have debt, why would I create a memorandum of agreement, why would I be summoned? Asking for a discount too, right?" he said.

"Let's not argue, debt is debt, if it is paid, Alhamdulillah, if it is not paid, thank God, I will complain to Allah," said Jusuf Hamka.

Jusuf Hamka's Plan if the Government Pays the Debt

After making various efforts, Jusuf Hamka has prepared a positive plan if the government pays off his debt. He intends to use the money for social activities through a foundation that he will establish.

"Of course, I will make as much nasi kuning (yellow rice) as possible, and I will make it, I have a foundation for the poor people of Indonesia, I will use the money for social purposes, I am trustworthy, don't worry boss. I will use the funds for social purposes," he said.

"Hopefully the government will pay, if not, don't worry, my social activities will continue," said Jusuf.
