Dream - The Prophet is known as a very dignified and respected figure by his companions. However, there is one companion who is famous for often behaving mischievously, making the Prophet laugh until his molars are visible.

Quoting NU Online, the friend's name is Nu'aiman bin Ibnu Amr bin Raf'ah. One of Nu'aiman's mischievous behaviors that made the Prophet laugh was when he was invited to trade in the land of Sham.

One day, Nu'aiman was invited by Sayyidina Abu Bakr Ash-Shiddiq to go to the land of Sham. Before leaving, Abu Bakr approached the Prophet to ask for permission to take his two companions.

"O Messenger of Allah ..., I would like to ask for permission to take two companions to trade in the land of Sham, namely Nu'aiman and Suwaibith bin Harmalah," said Abu Bakr.

Then, the Prophet allowed them to accompany him. Upon arriving in Sham, they were assigned their respective tasks, and Suwaibith bin Harmalah was assigned to guard the provisions.

While Abu Bakr was trading, Nu'aiman came to Suwaibith during the day and said that he was hungry.

"O Suwaibith, I am hungry, so give me a piece of bread to eat right now," said Nu'aiman.

However, Suwaibith did not fulfill the request because he, who was so strong in carrying out his trust, chose to wait for Sayyidina Abu Bakr Ash-Shiddiq to come.

Since he was not given a piece of bread, Nu'aiman hurriedly went to the market and tried to find a place that sold slaves there.

When Nu'aiman managed to find the intended seller, he immediately asked one by one about the slaves, which turned out to range from 100 to 300 dirhams.

Then, he said to the seller of the slaves, "I also have a slave, but I only sell him for 20 dirhams, cheap," he said.

Hearing Nu'aiman's words, the seller did not immediately believe. However, Nu'aiman explained that the price of the slave he was selling was low because he had a flaw, namely, he would not admit to being a slave and always claimed to be a free person.

Until finally, everyone gathered to buy the slave that Nu'aiman meant. Unexpectedly, he directed those people to Suwaibith, his own companion.

After being captured, Suwaibith shouted that he was not a slave, but a free person. Those who captured Suwaibith ignored his cries and brought Suwaibith and sold him in the market.

"We already know your flaw," shouted a group of people who brought Suwaibith.

After receiving money from selling his companion, Nu'aiman became wealthy, and he used the money to buy food, drinks, and gifts for the Prophet.

Shortly after, Sayyidina Abu Bakr Ash-Shiddiq returned and was confused because he could not find Suwaibith anywhere. Easily and honestly, Nu'aiman said, "I have sold him, O Abu Bakr."

Knowing this, Sayyidina Abu Bakr Ash-Shiddiq laughed and asked what actually happened. Eventually, he immediately went to the market and bought back Suwaibith as a free person.

After they returned to Madinah, this story was told to the Prophet Muhammad. So, when the story of Nu'aiman was told, Prophet Muhammad laughed so much that his molars were clearly visible in front of the companions.

Moreover, even after a year passed from the story, Prophet Muhammad always retold the story of Nu'aiman to any guest who came to him.
