This is the Wealth of Wamenkumham Eddy Hiariej Reported to the KPK Regarding Alleged Rp7 Billion Gratification

Dream - Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham), Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej alias Eddy Hiariej, was reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for alleged gratification.

The report was submitted by the Chairman of the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), Sugeng Santoso, to the KPK on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Sugeng Santoso accused Eddy of extortion and receiving gratification. He emphasized that he reported Eddy Hiariej to the KPK while upholding the principle of presumption of innocence.

According to Sugeng, Eddy received around Rp7 billion through his personal assistant. Sugeng mentioned that Eddy received the money because he had helped someone. However, Sugeng has not explained the details yet.

"So this is related to the flow of funds of around Rp7 billion received through two people acknowledged by EOSH as his assistants, received through his assistants in relation to what I allege is a position, even though the incident is related to a request for assistance from a citizen to Wamen EOSH. I said there was a flow of funds of Rp7 billion," said Sugeng.

According to Sugeng, there are two incidents that prompted him to report Eddy.

Meanwhile, Eddy doesn't want to bother with the report. According to him, the issue is a professional relationship between his personal assistant, YAR and YAM as lawyers, and their client Sugeng.

Eddy then allowed further confirmation of this matter to be made to his two personal assistants. "Please confirm further with YAR and YAM mentioned by Sugeng in his complaint," said Eddy, as quoted from Liputan6.com.

Eddy Hiariej's Wealth

Regardless of the allegations, Eddy is a relatively wealthy official based on the assets reported to the State Officials' Wealth Report.

Eddy last reported his assets to LHKPN in 2021. Based on the LHKPN website, Eddy Hiariej has a total wealth of Rp19,882,415,859.

Eddy's average wealth consists of land and buildings worth Rp23 billion, with the following details:

1. Land and buildings with an area of 162 m2/162 m2 in Sleman Regency, which are his own assets worth Rp. 5,000,000,000.
2. Land and buildings with an area of 53 m2/53 m2 in Sleman Regency, which are his own assets worth Rp. 5,000,000,000.
3. Land and buildings with an area of 375 m2/375 m2 in Sleman Regency, which are his own assets worth Rp. 10,000,000,000.

Eddy also has several motor vehicle assets with the following details:

3. 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited car, which is his own asset worth Rp428,000,000

If totaled, Eddy's collection of luxury cars is worth Rp1,210,000,000. In addition, Eddy reported cash and cash equivalents with a total of Rp1,121,856,647 or Rp1.1 billion.

He also has debts amounting to Rp5,449,440,788 or Rp5.5 billion.
