Woman Complains 4 Years of Suffering Living with In-Laws until Fired, Husband Just Silent and Divorced Her

Dream - A woman is lucky if she has a loving mother-in-law who considers her daughter-in-law as her own daughter.

However, if we look at social media, many stories shared by netizens are the opposite. Most of them express sadness and resentment towards their mother-in-law's attitude.

A woman named Elsa feels unappreciated as a daughter-in-law and her husband does not defend her.

In her TikTok account, @elsaa_mz, she shared several photos about the experiences she has been through.

Elsa's married life became chaotic after her sister-in-law borrowed her iPhone. Since then, unpleasant incidents have occurred.

"If only I didn't have an iPhone. I wouldn't have experienced this. The small iPhone I had since I was a girl, became the subject of competition among my sisters-in-law because they considered this phone very luxurious. At first, I was happy because I could become closer to my sisters-in-law since I was shy to talk to them first when I got married," Elsa wrote.

Elsa admitted that since she started living in her in-laws' house, her phone gallery was always filled with photos of her sisters-in-law. At first, they were polite when borrowing Elsa's phone.

"Every day, I sent them photos, almost 95% of my gallery was filled with their photos. At first, they were still polite, my sisters-in-law even felt reluctant to borrow my phone just to take selfies inside the house," she wrote.

For Elsa, her workplace was the most comfortable place that could make her smile. But when she saw her child's condition at home, Elsa couldn't bear it.

"My heart broke when I came home and saw our child like this. I was tired and wanted to resign, but your mother never allowed it. They said our child had been bathed but was dressed like this. When I arrived home, they immediately asked for my phone because they wanted to take photos with their other nephew without including our child," she sadly explained.

She felt excluded and treated unfairly by her husband's family. Overwhelmed by taking care of the house and the child alone, Elsa suddenly got fired from her job.

"Finally, I started coming late and got fired. I thought this was the beginning of my happiness because I could focus on taking care of your family and our child. But I was wrong. Finally, I could upgrade to a better phone, thanks to my little savings from work and the inheritance money from my late parents. All my remaining money was taken by your mother," she revealed.

With the remaining savings, Elsa bought a refrigerator to sell and earn additional income. She intended to sell packaged drinks, but it didn't last long.

"I sold them for a thousand each, but it didn't last long because they were always drunk by your nephews and siblings. When I asked for money for ice, they always said, 'Shouldn't that be counted as rice, which your mother should calculate as well? I just kept silent,'" she explained.

Elsa showed her savings to buy a bicycle for her child. However, her mother-in-law asked for the money and promised to buy the bicycle.

But until now, the bicycle has never arrived. When Elsa reminded her mother-in-law, she kept postponing the purchase.

Still about Elsa's iPhone, she was shocked when her sister-in-law brought her phone to school without permission. Her sister-in-law also changed all the wallpapers on the phone with her own face, as if the phone belonged to her.

When Elsa couldn't bear to stay in her in-laws' house anymore, she asked her husband to move to another house. But her husband didn't respond to Elsa's request.

"I asked to move a thousand times, but you always answered, 'Later.' I know you are the only son. I know your mother doesn't want to let you go. I know your mother loves you so much. But I can't continue living under the same roof with my in-laws. I can't," Elsa wrote.

"You always asked me to give my phone to your sister, so that everything would be fine, but I can't. It's hard for me," she continued.

In her confession, Elsa revealed that she had cooked rendang from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm alone. After cooking, her mother-in-law immediately told Elsa to keep the rendang in her room.

"I was so scared that I ate a lot," she said.

Then, Elsa showed her child's scratched face caused by her sister-in-law, but her husband just remained silent. And when their child cried because of the scratches, he carried his nephew instead.

"Our child became the victim of bullying by his aunt because he often had a runny nose and was neglected. I'm always sad to be compared to others, especially you who always compare our child to your sibling's child," she explained.

Elsa admitted that she had often persuaded her husband to move to another house, to rent a place elsewhere. But her husband always refused.

Until one day, her husband divorced her through a WhatsApp message. Without hesitation, Elsa immediately packed her clothes and her child's clothes, then waited for her husband to come home to say goodbye.

"I hoped that it wasn't you who typed that message. But it turned out that you typed it yourself. Until finally, you divorced me right in front of my own eyes. Crushed, sad, and angry, all mixed together," she expressed her sadness.

Elsa admitted that she had restrained herself from her husband's bad behavior all this time. Besides not receiving any financial support, her husband often committed domestic violence and never defended Elsa in front of his family.

Now she has separated from her husband and temporarily lives at her cousin's house. Although all her suffering has ended, Elsa admitted that she still loves her husband.
