It turns out that Canti Tachril's father, Mohamad Tachril, once served as Commissioner at Plaza Indonesia Corporation from 1998-2002 and as Deputy Chief Commissioner since May 13, 2003.
Quoting the annual report of Plaza Indonesia 2016, Mohammad Tachril began his career at PT Bakrie & Brothers in 1979-1981, then served as Director of PT Bimantara Citra Tbk. (now PT Global Mediacom Tbk.) during the period 1981-1995 and the period 1998-2000.
Father Canti Tachril has also been trusted to become a commissioner in the same company during the periods of 1995-1998 and 2000-2012.
In addition, Mohamad Tachril is also one of the founders of PT Global Mediacom Tbk alongside Bambang Trihatmodjo and Rosano Barack. Currently, Mohamad Tachril serves as the director of PT Trans Javagas Pipeline and a member of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Plaza Indonesia.
Meanwhile, lately Plaza Indonesia has been in the spotlight after a viral video of the mall security guard abusing a guard dog in the mall area. Plaza Indonesia has finally issued an apology and the management is currently conducting an investigation and will take disciplinary action against the perpetrator.
