Komang Ade Widiandari decided to convert to Islam before marrying a singer and comedian from Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi. During the traditional Mepamit ceremony, Raim just learned about the way of worship in the Hindu religion.
"If you are Hindu, you have to bid farewell to your old religion first, through a ceremony called Pamitan. I just found out that in the Hindu terminology, prayer is referred to as 'worshipping what is worshipped'. As for us, we have prayer."

Raim said before marrying a native Balinese woman, a convert must first participate in their traditional ceremony called Mepamit. According to him, the Mepamit procession is carried out to bid farewell to their previous religion before converting.
"Before getting married, you have to participate in the ceremony, be a part of the ceremony. Wear traditional Balinese clothes to say goodbye first, not to convert religions but to say goodbye to the old religion. Then I wear that Balinese traditional outfit, looking the most handsome and learn Balinese dance,"

In addition, the singer of the song Tua Bersama also went to the temple to perform prayers there. "I went to the temple, participated in the prayer. The pendet dancer said you were just accompanying, but I followed every movement," said Raim Laode.
After completing the farewell ceremony, Komang became an Atheist for about a week before finally officially embracing Islam. This decision was made as a form of respect for his previous beliefs. On his wedding day, which coincided with his birthday, Komang recited the two sentences of the shahada and officially became a Muslimah.
"Two weeks before the wedding. Finally, one week has passed and I wanted to convert to Islam, but I had to report the documents to the civil registry first, but I couldn't because I hadn't converted yet. So, Komang converted in the morning, we got married in the afternoon, and had the reception at night."
