Dharma Suaka is a sacred tradition in Hindu culture, signifying the commitment and sincerity of the groom-to-be in establishing a legitimate relationship. In this ceremony, Mahalini Raharja and her family accept and approve Mahalini to proceed with this relationship to the next stage. Not only that, this historic day is also marked by the implementation of the Mepamit ceremony, which becomes an emotional moment when Mahalini Raharja, the bride-to-be, seeks permission and blessings from her ancestors.
In Balinese tradition, Mepamit is an important step when the prospective bride seeks permission from her ancestors to marry and start a new life with the prospective groom and his family.
