Reasons Why Nana Mirdad Differentiates Family and ART's Food Menu

Dream - Nana Mirdad gives freedom to the domestic assistants (ART) in her house to choose the food menu they want to eat. This decision is made because the daughter of senior artist Lidya Kandouw does not want to impose the same menu as her family. 

Nana's response also explains the accusation of a netizen who claimed that Nana differentiates the food menu between her family and the ARTs working in her house. Nana's explanation was written in a story post on her Instagram account. 

According to Nana, the decision to differentiate the food menu with the staff at her house is because she does not want to force them to eat food that does not suit their taste.

"I want them to eat food that they enjoy, not necessarily eating salads and western food like at my house."

"It will only cause stress if I force them to eat sandwiches, salads, and others without giving them the choice of Indonesian cuisine," Nana Mirdad said.

Instead of causing stress to her employees by making them eat food according to the family's preferences, Nana prefers to give her ARTs the freedom to cook the food they like according to their own taste. 

"I'd rather give them a kitchen and the freedom to eat whatever they like," Nana added.

Not only about food, this mother of two also provides a house equipped with its own kitchen for her employees so they can cook the menu they like.

"As for the house staff, I always provide a living quarters, a room, and a separate kitchen where they don't stay in the main house with me, Andre, and the kids. So they don't live inside," Nana added.

However, Nana does not always differentiate the family and ART's food menu. When cooking Indonesian dishes, Nana always makes sure to share them with her employees at home.

"If I cook Indonesian food at home, of course, I will share it with them, but if I cook simple dishes, it's also not a problem for them because they have their own kitchen and meal allowance," Nana said.

Not only that, Nana also emphasized that she never separates the dining table when going out with her ART. She also allows them to choose their own food menu.

"If they go out with me and my family, they will definitely sit at the same table as me and they can eat whatever they order. I don't know about others, it's different in every house," she said.

Furthermore, Nana emphasized that having different food menus for the family and staff at home is not a bad thing as long as it is done to give them freedom.

"But in my opinion, eating different food from the staff at home is not always a bad thing," she added.

Nana reiterated that her reason for differentiating the food with her employees is to respect their different preferences compared to hers.

"The reason is that I don't want to force them to eat food that they may not like or may not be filling for them. I hope it's clear," Nana Mirdad said.

Nana Mirdad Reveals the Moment Her House Wall Cracked Due to an Earthquake in Bali

Dream - Nana Mirdad and her family experienced a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that shook Bali on Monday afternoon local time.

In a video posted on Instagram Story, Nana, her husband Andrew White, their children, and their housemaid were seen rushing out of the house when the earthquake occurred.

"The earthquake was really strong, are you okay?" Nana asked her children.

Due to the strong tremors of the earthquake, the walls of Nana Mirdad's house cracked. Nana herself looked surprised because it was the first time her house walls were damaged by an earthquake.

"My house is cracked, wow, no wonder it was so strong here," Nana said.

Not only Nana, Andrew White also recorded the moment the family rushed out of the house during the earthquake.

"There's an earthquake. Earthquake, we all immediately went out. Did you feel the tremor? It's still shaking, look, the water," Andrew White said while showing the still-moving water in the swimming pool due to the earthquake.
