Dream - Archaeologists have discovered a 1,700-year-old chicken egg in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. Researchers convey that the discovery is the only intact egg in the world found in such pristine condition despite being thousands of years old. Quoting from the BBC, the location of the chicken egg discovery is an area that was once ruled by the Romans thousands of years ago. Interestingly, there is still white and yellow liquid inside this ancient egg, which has amazed the researchers.
According to researchers, this is a very unique finding. The results of the micro CT-Scan that produces three-dimensional (3D) images show the contents of the egg, which are still intact with its white and yolk as well as the air sac.
"Making Researchers Amazed"
The senior project manager at Oxford Archaeology overseeing this excavation, Edward Biddulph, said the discovery of the only intact Roman-era egg in England is truly astonishing. "The fact that the egg still contains its original contents is truly remarkable," he said.
"We were very impressed when we saw the contents inside, because we previously thought it must have been dry."

"One and Only Intact Egg"
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving the HTML tags: The eggs were found together with other eggs during excavations carried out between 2007 and 2016, prior to the construction of housing in Berryfields, Aylesbury. Those eggs remained intact, while the other eggs broke during the excavation, releasing a "foul smell".

However, years later, he said that the Roman eggs "still reveal their secrets". Conservator Dana Goodburn-Brown brought these eggs to the University of Kent to be scanned.
"This produces an incredible image that shows that the egg, besides being intact - which is quite extraordinary - also retains its liquid inside, possibly coming from the yolk, albumen, etc.,"

His colleague, Arianna Bernucci, consulted on how to preserve the eggs and extract their contents without damaging them."
