Dream - Japan, an advanced country in East Asia, has become one of the favorite destinations for Indonesians to study, work, or simply travel. However, Japan is a country with a minority of Muslims. This is in stark contrast to Indonesia, which is known as a country where the majority of its population adheres to Islam.
With Islam as the majority religion, the profession of ustaz and Quran teacher is commonly found in the homeland. The opposite is true in Japan. Who would have thought, an Indonesian citizen named Adhitya Jatmiko is determined to become a Quran teacher in the Land of Sakura. Interestingly, Adhitya has many students ranging from children to the elderly.
The activity of teaching the Quran and Iqra is often documented on his social media account. 'Teaching in Indonesia (x), Teaching in Japan (v),' he wrote in the video description.
In one post, Adhitya appears to be teaching a Japanese boy with the book Iqra. Interestingly, Adhitya teaches using the Japanese language. Wearing Muslim attire, Adhitya is so diligent in teaching the child.
The child wearing a peci hat and a maroon red koko shirt carefully pays attention to the explanation given by his religious teacher. Not only children, Adhitya often shares knowledge of reading the Quran with the elderly. His figure appears to be very patient and diligent when giving lessons.
Even though he is a teacher, Adhitya appears patient and gentle in teaching his students. Several times, Adhitya is seen being very close to the students. Occasionally, he is even not hesitant to capture moments by posing together. "Let's read every day," he writes. It is known that Adhitya is a Quran teacher and also a caretaker at Darussalam Mosque in Nishio, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
"The place of worship for Muslims became the first location that he considered comfortable during his stay in the Land of Sakura. "Masjid Darussalam Nishio, the first place that I made as the most comfortable place in Japan," he wrote in one of his posts."
