Dream - PPT, a 16-year-old girl from Lumajang, East Java, was married to a dormitory caretaker (ponpes) without her parents' knowledge. The victim's father, Matrokim (38), reported this case to the Lumajang Police accompanied by a child protection agency. The marriage was exposed after neighbors started talking about her pregnancy.

The victim was secretly married by ME, the manager of one of the Islamic boarding schools in Sumbermujur Village, Lumajang on August 15, 2023. The victim's father claimed that he didn't know that his daughter had gotten married. The victim also never mentioned anything about the marriage to her father. "So, I only found out because my daughter was rumored to be pregnant. But I never arranged a marriage," he said, as quoted from Radar Jember, Monday, July 1, 2024.

"But, my child does not stay there. It's just that they often participate in the routines. Well, maybe they know each other because my child often participates in that assembly," he said. PPT admitted to being tempted with Rp300,000 and promised to be made happy by the perpetrator. The persuasion of the boarding school manager convinced the victim to be secretly married without the knowledge of the father."

"Although already married, the victim never lived in the same house as the perpetrator. The boarding school manager only called the victim when he wanted to satisfy his lust, and after that, he was sent home. 'So, if my child wants to go there, someone will come to pick them up and take them home,' he said."
