Initially, Edi said he enjoyed fishing in the open sea. "I love fishing but I have already sold my boat, it was expensive," said Edi to the filmmaker. In the course of the development, the filmmaker decided to capture footage while Edi talked about his other hobby, which is shooting. Edi mentioned that this hobby was used for filming purposes because the filmmaker couldn't afford to rent a boat to take them to Marina Beach in Ancol, Jakarta. "They offered the cheapest option at Rp35 million... They chose my other hobby, shooting. Well, I showed them shooting, shooting doesn't cost anything, just the bullets are wasted," he explained. "Since they were stingy, they chose the cheaper option, shooting."

Apart from his shooting ability, Edi also revealed that he used to be a weapons supplier for the Indonesian Army (TNI Angkatan Darat). However, he denied being a weapons supplier for the police.
