"According to him, currently the most feasible scheme, once the regulations are in place, is that flying taxis can only be available in the outskirts of the archipelago. "IKN is the capital city, so we must ensure that security is guaranteed, without intending to say yes or allow it, the extent of the support becomes our consideration. How flying taxis can operate here, it could be later in IKN but not in the center," explained Budi."

"He mentioned that the government does not want to close the option for flying taxi operations in IKN. So far, they are still coordinating with various parties to see whether flying taxis can operate in the new capital or not. 'But we will continue to coordinate. We have already applied to ask ICAO and IATA what their recommendations are regarding flying taxis,' he said."

"Previously, the Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) conducted a trial flight of a flying taxi at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung (APT) Pranoto Airport, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation of the IKN Authority, Mohamed Ali Berawi, stated that this unmanned aircraft successfully flew for 10 minutes at a speed of 50 km per hour."

He expressed that this trial is an initial step towards realizing efficient and environmentally friendly urban air transportation in Indonesia. "This is a tangible proof of our commitment to developing future transportation technology," said Berawi.
