Dream - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD shared an unexpected moment on his social media account during his visit to East Java (Jatim) some time ago.
"Dicium Bapak-Bapak" translates to "Kissed by gentlemen" in English.
"How not, vice presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo suddenly got his cheeks kissed by some gentlemen while being in the middle of a crowd."
In the photo shared on his Instagram account, Mahfud can be seen attending an event at a field in East Java.
"Berebut Selfie" translates to "Fighting for Selfie" in English.
Mahfud, wearing a white shirt and a black peci, then walked among the audience. Dozens of spontaneous volunteers scrambled to capture the moment with selfies and shake hands with him.

Mahfud, who was tightly guarded, did not refuse to take selfies with his supporters. He appeared to be patient in serving dozens of people who approached him. The moment lasted for a few seconds. The gentlemen immediately stepped back after kissing Mahfud.

"Interestingly, Mahfud didn't react at all when that happened. However, in the shared photo, it can be seen that he slightly tilted his head as if avoiding it."
The rare incident immediately surprised and made many netizens amused. Nevertheless, Mahfud was not angry. He still maintained a smile on his face. "Good morning everyone. Just borrowing... his cheeks 😁," he wrote.
