In the caption of the post by @terang_media, it is mentioned that the contest will be held at a hotel in the Central Jakarta area on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Several people who are suspected to be participants can be seen on stage wearing various costumes and dresses like a fashion show.
"Regarding the viral video, the police are investigating allegations of organizing a transgender beauty contest at a hotel in the Jakarta area. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes. Pol. Ade Ary Syam explained that no permits were submitted for the transgender beauty contest."
“Thus far, there is no permit related to the event,” said Ade as quoted from Tribrata News, Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
"Meanwhile, the Metro Jakarta Central Police Chief Kombes. Pol. Soesatyo Purnomo Condro stated that his side will examine the hotel and the event organizers. This is because, after coordinating with Forkopimda, there was no permit submitted to the local government."
“Regarding the contest event, there is no permission whatsoever, and an inspection and in-depth investigation will be conducted together with the DKI Satpol PP,” said the Police Chief.
