The opinion of Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani states that the majority of scholars, other than the Shafi'i school of thought, view it as permissible to fast after Nisfu Syaban. Scholars who allow fasting after Nisfu Syaban consider the above hadith to be weak or unreliable.

In conclusion, the majority of scholars of the Shafi'i school of thought consider fasting after Nisfu Syaban as haram. However, this prohibition does not apply to certain conditions. 1. Fasting Since Before Nisfu Syaban

A person who fasts from before Nisfu Syaban until approximately the 28th of the month is allowed to do so. However, it is advisable not to fast at the end of the month because it includes the Day of Doubt.

2. Already Accustomed to Fasting

3. Fasting Nazar, Qadha, and Kafarat
