Dream - The United Nations (UN) officially released official data on the number of casualties in the flood disaster in Bandung, Libya. The disaster, which centered in the city of Derna, resulted in 11,300 deaths. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) informed that 10,100 other people are still missing in the destroyed city.

It is known, the water wall has hit the coastal city of Derna and swept away thousands of people to their deaths, the focus on Sunday in the local area has now shifted to the care of survivors of the disaster.

According to the International Organization for Migration, at least 40,000 people have been displaced throughout northeastern Libya. This organization warns that the actual number may be higher due to the difficulty in accessing the worst-affected areas.

A week has passed, and bodies are still being found. Rescue crews from the Civil Protection Department of Malta discovered a beach filled with corpses on Friday, as reported by the Times of Malta newspaper.

International aid has arrived from the United Nations, Europe, and the Middle East. The aid includes essential medicines and emergency surgical supplies, as well as body bags for moving corpses.
