Article 397 stipulates that reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery services can be provided by health service facilities in the form of: hospitals; or primary clinics, after meeting the requirements."
"The requirements that must be met by Health Service Facilities as referred to in paragraph (1) include human resources, buildings, infrastructure, and health equipment. Human resources as referred to in paragraph 21 include Medical Personnel who have expertise and authority and are supported by Health Personnel and Health Support or Supporting Personnel," wrote Article 397.
Article 398 states that reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery to align the genitals with the actual gender can only be performed based on medical indications and must be conducted in hospitals that meet the requirements. In implementing the procedures for reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery services, health facilities must refer to the standard operational procedures regarding the organization of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery operations according to the services provided.
"Every reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery service must be recorded and reported through the Health Information System that is integrated with the National Health Information System."
