From the US, Teddy, who at that time held the rank of captain, returned to Jakarta and began his duties as an aide to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto in 2020.

During approximately four years, Mayor Teddy accompanied Prabowo in various activities as a minister and when Prabowo campaigned as a presidential candidate in the 2024 Elections.
