Dream - DPO (Wanted Person) in the Vina Cirebon murder case, Pegi Setiawan alias Perong was successfully captured on Tuesday night, May 21, 2024 in Bandung, West Java.
After being arrested, the police released the face of the perpetrator of the murder of Vina Cirebon, Pegi Setiawan alias Perong, who had been on the run for eight years. In the photo, Pegi can be seen wearing a blue checkered shirt.
"On behalf of Pegi Setiawan, he was detained last night in Bandung,"

The community doubts the authenticity of Pegi Alias Perong
However, many people doubt the authenticity of Pegi alias Perong, one of the wanted suspects in the Vina Cirebon murder case. Moreover, there is a lot of information circulating on social media about Pegi alias Perong.
In response to the information, Director of General Criminal Investigation of West Java Regional Police, Commissioner Surawan, requested that the public not easily believe the opinions circulating on social media regarding the perpetrator of Vina Cirebon's murder.

Surawan affirmed the appointment of Pegi alias Perong as the mastermind behind the murder of Vina and Eky based on the evidence and investigation results from the officers. "Alright then," he said.
Still Under Investigation
At present, the police are still investigating and delving into Pegi's escape for eight years before being arrested, including allegations of identity theft and his role in the Vina Cirebon murder case.
