Dream - Ghibah is talking about the faults of others or the flaws that others have. Where the person concerned does not participate in it. Such actions are strongly prohibited in Islam and can bring about great sins. Especially if this behavior continues, it will become a habit in daily life. Moreover, it can damage brotherhood relationships. However, there are several actions of talking about others that do not include ghibah. Of course, with certain intentions and conditions, and the purpose is indeed for the truth.

People who are oppressed or persecuted are allowed to tell the form of oppression committed by those who oppress you to a ruler or someone who has the authority to decide your case in order to demand your rights. Because in Islam itself, acts of oppression are strongly prohibited. Allah SWT stated in Surah An-Nisa verse 148: "Allah does not like bad speech (spoken) openly, except by those who have been wronged."

The meaning is that if Dream's friend is oppressed by someone else, it is allowed to tell the public about the act of oppression. In addition, it is also permissible to tell it to those in power with the aim of getting help.

When Dream's friend has a habit of doing bad things, it is allowed to gossip about him. The purpose is to ask for help from others to prevent his bad behavior and to get back on the right path.

The act of talking about other people who are not considered as backbiting is called "istifta'" or asking for a fatwa about a matter. For example, when there is a friend of Dream who does something bad, like stealing. Then, it is allowed for you to talk about that action. However, it would be better if you only mention their wrongdoing according to what you want to report. Not more than that. This makes you more cautious about sins.

Talking about the bad qualities of others with the intention of warning fellow Muslims from evil is something that is allowed. For example, like this: If there is a narrator of hadith, a witness, or an author of a book who has physical defects and bad behavior. If you see someone buying defective goods or buying a slave who is a thief, drinker, and the like. Meanwhile, the buyer does not know or does not see someone hiring a helper with bad character, a thief, a liar, lazy.

If Dream's friend sees someone committing immoral or heretical acts, such as drinking alcohol, forcefully seizing others' belongings, and collecting illegal taxes, then it is permissible to talk about it. However, it is important to remember that when discussing their wrongdoing, one should not exaggerate. In this way, the gossip is only for the sake of goodness.
