"Arabian sand boa or Arab sand boa is a type of snake that looks unique because it has googly eyes that seem to be attached to the top of its head. This species of snake only lives in the sandy deserts of the Arabian Peninsula and southwestern Iran."

"Arab sand boas can reach a length of 15 inches (38 centimeters) and can withstand various temperature conditions. Arab sand boas can regulate their body temperature up to 50 degrees Celsius, both during the day and at night."
"Arab sand boa is active at night, generally hiding in the sand during the day and coming out at dusk to hunt for prey. The desert becomes a suitable habitat for predators, as there are often many small reptiles like mice, small lizards, or geckos that are active at night."

"They belong to two species of boas that lay eggs, unlike the Sahara sand boa (Eryx muelleri) which is spread across the African continent and gives birth to live young. Female Arabian sand boas lay eggs in small nests. They help their young out of the eggs when they are ready to hatch, about nine weeks later, because their hatchlings do not have egg teeth."
According to The International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species, the Arabian sand boa is commonly found in its wide range and is not considered threatened by human activities.
