Dream - An old grave often attracts public attention, especially if it is located around residential areas. Like the grave in a narrow alley located in Bandung, West Java, as follows. The grave is said to have been there since the 1950s. The grave with a tombstone bearing the name "Iboe Idjah" is located in Gang Linggawastu, Tamansari Village, Bandung Wetan, Bandung City. Quoting a video on Mang Ian Vlog's YouTube channel, local residents mentioned that since they were born, the grave, which used to be made of stone, has been preserved until now. Because of that, the grave is still often visited by the deceased's family.
For residents of Linggawastu alley, the sight of a tomb in the narrow alley may no longer be unfamiliar. However, for those who are seeing it for the first time, they may wonder how there can be a tomb in such a narrow alley, located right below a house building.
Not just one, it turns out that in that narrow alley there are several other graves not far from the grave of "Iboe Idjah". The difference is that the other graves are located on a piece of land that is fenced around it.
In ancient times, the Linggawastu Tamansari area was called Neglasari, which was a vast land or field with tall grass and dense trees. In that place, there was also a complex of public cemeteries.
It is also mentioned that the public cemetery is the final resting place for people affected by the malaria epidemic. However, it is not known exactly when the grave was made.
With the development of time, the land that was originally a public cemetery has shifted its function into a residential area. Therefore, it is not surprising that old graves are found in that area.
"Even some parts of the tomb may have been lost or located under local residents' houses. The picture of the tomb went viral and was uploaded by other social media accounts. Many netizens were curious and gave their responses in the comment section."
"This is not a house attached to a wall, but a house attached to a grave," wrote the account @djie1985. "If it's a really old grave, it's not a grave attached to a house, but a house attached to a grave," wrote the account @gorealuz. "Yes, this is a very old story. The writing uses old spelling," wrote the account @shofia0078. "In Linggawastu, but it's not as scary as that. It's crowded during the day and crowded at night with people hanging out there," wrote the account @kikypisces."
