Dream - Devotion to parents is one of the commandments in Islam. Throughout their lives, a parent's service to their child is so great that no amount of money can replace their sacrifice. Not only do parents care for their child while they are still in the womb, but they also nurture, educate, and love their child once they are born into the world. The duty to be devoted to parents should not only be carried out as a religious commandment, but also as a form of a child's love for their father and mother. Just as the love that parents have given when raising their sons and daughters.

One day the Prophet saw gathered with his companions. Then, someone from the Bani Salamah tribe came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, is there still any service that I can do for my parents?" The Prophet saw answered, "Yes, pray for their goodness, seek forgiveness for them, maintain good relations with their family members who are not connected without them, and honor the friends of your parents." (Narrated by Abu Daud)

Thus, here are the recommended practices to be performed by a child to their deceased parents: - Praying for the well-being of both parents in every prayer offered. - Seeking forgiveness from Allah SWT for both parents. - Maintaining the usual family ties that were upheld by our parents. - Respecting the friends of both parents who are still alive. - Donating on behalf of both parents, preserving and continuing the good deeds that were regularly done by both parents during their lifetime.

"O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and women, the believing men and women, the living among them and the deceased, from the east to the west, on land and sea, those who are our ancestors, our mothers, our grandfathers, our grandmothers, our teachers, and those who have been kind to us and to the people of rights upon us."

Translation: "Meaning: 'O Allah, forgive the believing men and women, the Muslim men and women, those who are still alive and those who have passed away, those who are scattered from east to west, on land and at sea, especially fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, religious scholars, teachers, those who have done good to us, and those who still have rights over us. O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, heal them, and pardon them. O Allah, send down mercy, forgiveness, and healing upon the inhabitants of the graves, from the inhabitants of the heavens, there is no deity except Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.'"

Translation: "Meaning: 'O Allah, grant forgiveness, mercy, well-being, and forgiveness to them. O Allah, send down blessings, forgiveness, and intercession for the believers of the two testimonies in the grave.' Our Lord, give us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Glory be to Your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe. Peace be upon the messengers, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Opening: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Glory be to Your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe. Peace be upon our master Muhammad, and upon his family, companions, and followers. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him. Al-Fatihah."

Translation: "Meaning: Our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the hereafter. Protect us from the torment of the hellfire. Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from all that they describe. May peace and blessings be abundant for the messengers. May Allah bestow His blessings and peace upon Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds."
