"Dream - A husband must certainly fulfill his obligations to his wife. One of those obligations is to provide for her. The scholars have also agreed that the husband's duty to provide for his wife is based on the following verse from Surah At-Talaq, verse 7: “Let a man of means spend according to his means. And he whose provision is restricted, let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not burden a soul beyond that which He has given it.”"

This is in accordance with the principle of charity that emphasizes the importance of giving sustenance to those in need, including family members. Allah says in the Quran Surah At-Talaq verse 7: "Allah will provide sustenance for whom He wills without limit. And whoever relies on Allah, then Allah will suffice for his needs; indeed, Allah is All-Wise in His affairs."

The hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah states: "Three things whose rewards continue to flow (to a person who has passed away) even after his death, namely continuous charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for goodness for his parents." (HR. Muslim) Supporting one's wife and children is a form of charity whose rewards continue to flow, as it fulfills their needs and earns the pleasure of Allah.

The scholars emphasize that a husband is obligated to provide a decent and sufficient livelihood to meet the basic needs of his wife. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in his hadith also underscores the husband's duty to adequately support his wife. The verses of the Qur'an that serve as references to determine the amount of livelihood include Surah Al-Baqarah verse 236, which regulates the livelihood for a wife who is separated. Pray to Allah SWT that your husband is granted guidance and abundance in sustenance, in accordance with Surah Al-Baqarah verse 186 which teaches to ask Him in every difficulty."

"Giving examples of kindness by sharing blessings with a husband and others, in accordance with Surah Ali-Imran verse 110 which teaches to be a just community. Remembering the initial intention of marriage, which is to support each other and build a harmonious household, in accordance with Surah Ar-Rum verse 21 which teaches the importance of affection between husband and wife. Communicating economic and spiritual needs honestly and openly to the husband, in accordance with Surah An-Nisa verse 135 which teaches to be fair and honest with the husband."

Inviting the husband to learn more deeply about Islamic teachings, especially regarding the obligation of providing sustenance and the attitude of voluntary charity, in accordance with Surah At-Tawbah verse 103, which teaches the importance of learning and understanding religious teachings in their entirety.
