Allah SWT commands His servants who commit sins to repent immediately. As Allah SWT says in Surah An Nur verse 31. وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ (Wa tuubuu ilallahi jami'an ayyuhal mu'minuuna la'allakum tuflihuun). Meaning: "And repent to Allah, all of you, O believers, that you may succeed." (Quran, An Nur: 31).
