Regarding this matter, the Director of Traffic of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Pol Latif Usman, also highlighted the 2024 Election Application (APK) which is reckless and disrupts traffic order.

He conveyed, people who install APK indiscriminately can potentially be subject to criminal charges if it causes road users to experience traffic accidents. Latif admits that there have been several traffic accidents caused by the installation of Campaign Advertising Tools (APK) in an arbitrary manner. One of them occurred on KRT Radjiman Street, Cakung, East Jakarta on Monday, January 22, 2024.

As a result of the accident, the rider and passenger suffered minor injuries. Latif stated that the case is currently still under police investigation.

Latif revealed that the Indonesian National Police (Polri), together with relevant agencies, including local party leaders, are currently coordinating efforts to regulate Campaign Tools. "We are conducting patrols, and of course, this requires cooperation from all parties and relevant parties to regulate these Campaign Tools," he said.

According to Latif, the regulation of APK (campaign materials) is the authority of Satpol PP (Public Order Agency) and Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Agency). However, if the installation of APK is done haphazardly and causing significant disruptions, his party will take measures to enforce regulations.
