Dream - Joy is not only felt by the supporters of the Indonesian National Team when their pride team advances to the Round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup. The players also immediately expressed their joy together with their coach Shin Tae Yong, alias STY.

The tense atmosphere and full of hope can be seen from the players who witnessed the match. When the match between Kyrgyzstan vs Oman ended in a 1-1 draw, the atmosphere immediately erupted, the players jumped and cheered with joy.
Not long after, they all immediately ran and stormed into the coach's room. The players then directly hugged STY and dropped him onto the bed.

As known, the 1-1 draw between Oman and Kyrgyzstan in the duel secured the Indonesian National Team's last ticket to advance to the Round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup, as one of the four best third-placed teams.
Indonesia collects three points, one point ahead of Oman who is in fifth place. Qualifying for the knockout phase of the 2023 Asian Cup is a new history for the Indonesian national team.
"Carving a New History"
Since the first appearance in the Asian Cup, the Garuda Team has never advanced from the group stage. In the 1996, 2000, 2004 editions, and even when hosting in 2007, the Indonesian National Team was unable to reach the knockout stage. Nevertheless, the struggle of the Indonesian National Team continues and will face a tough opponent, Australia, which will be held at bin Hamad Stadium, Al Rayyan on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
