Dream - Lately, there has been a term in society that sarcastically refers to the Constitutional Court (MK) as the Family Court. The abbreviation emerged after the MK read a verdict regarding the age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates. In the verdict, the MK stated that the minimum age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates is 40 years old and/or those who have previously held a position obtained through general elections. This verdict includes President Joko Widodo's eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, being able to participate in the 2024 Presidential Election. Although he is not yet 40 years old, he currently serves as the mayor of Solo, elected through general elections.

That means, Gibran can advance in the 2024 Presidential Election. He has now been declared as a candidate for vice president alongside Prabowo Subianto. This decision has drawn attention to the Constitutional Court, Anwar Usman. Because he is Jokowi's brother-in-law and also Gibran's uncle. That is why the term "Family Court" has emerged to mock the Constitutional Court for making a decision that is considered to pave the way for Gibran. However, Anwar Usman denied being involved in any conflict of interest in the Constitutional Court's decision.
