Dream - Bintang Balqis Maulana (14), a student from Banyuwangi who died after being abused by his senior, had asked his parents to pick him up from his boarding school in Kediri. Bintang conveyed this through a WhatsApp message to his mother, Suyanti. In his message, Bintang admitted to being scared and wanted to come home immediately. He asked his mother to pick him up as soon as possible.
"Come pick me up here. Hurry and come here. I'm scared, maaaa please help. Come pick me up quickly," said Bintang through a WhatsApp message to her mother, about a week before she died, quoted from Liputan6.com, Tuesday, February 27, 2024."
"Suyanti tells, a few days before passing away, her child often contacted and even asked to be picked up. However, Bintang did not explain in detail the reason for wanting to be picked up, although he complained of feeling sick. 'He asked to be picked up. I didn't ask why, it wasn't mentioned. The main thing is he asked to be picked up like that,' said Suyanti, tears streaming down her face."
According to Suyanti, Bintang expressed his desire to return to Banyuwangi through a WhatsApp message since Monday, February 19, 2024. Bintang even had a video call with his parents. Suyanti conveyed that the message sent by her son through WhatsApp was not much. Very brief, the late Bintang only wanted to be picked up from the cottage. "Bintang is a quiet child. He only asked to be picked up," she said.
In response to her child's complaint, Suyanti asked Bintang to be patient until the month of Ramadan. However, the child refused and still wanted to be picked up.

At that time, Suyanti was working with her brother Bintang in Bali. Therefore, she responded to her son's message like that. When she was about to be picked up, Bintang initially refused because he claimed to have already become comfortable again. "Then, when I wanted to pick him up the next day, he said there was no need. He said he was already comfortable and fine," she said.
To strengthen her son's heart, Suyanti asked Bintang to read the Quran and instructed him to report to the caretaker of the boarding school if something happened. In addition, she also sent a sum of money to Bintang through her account for medical purposes.
To motivate her child's enthusiasm for studying at the Islamic boarding school, Suyanti even promised Bintang a motorcycle. "I promise a motorcycle so that Bintang will be enthusiastic about boarding," said Suyanti.
Suyati did not expect her youngest child to leave so quickly. The family suspects that Bintang died due to abuse, not because of falling from the bathroom as stated by the boarding school. "There are bruises and cigarette burns all over the body, plus there are wounds like strangulation on the neck. His nose also appears to be broken. This is definitely not a case of falling, but of being abused," said Mia Nur Khasanah, the victim's sibling.
As information, Bintang is reported to have passed away while studying at a pesantren in Kediri City, on Friday, 23rd February 2024. The family, located in Glenmore District, Banyuwangi, was shocked after learning that the victim's body was in a terrible condition.
Feeling suspicious, the family reported the incident to the Glenmore Police Sector to find out the cause of the victim's death. After receiving the report, Bintang's body was taken by the Police officers from the Glenmore Sector to Blambangan Public Hospital to perform an autopsy. "At the hospital, only an external examination (autopsy) was conducted on the victim's body," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Banyuwangi Regional Police, Commissioner Andrew Vega.
According to Vega, the case of Bintang's death is being handled by the Kediri Kota Police Resort. "So, the handling of this case will be continued to be handled by the Kediri Kota Police Resort," he said.
Not only the guests and neighbors, netizens are also shocked and surprised to see the bride washing dishes at her wedding.
