The delegation visited the perimeter or outer boundary of the Nabawi Mosque in the Markazia area, which has long been prohibited for non-Muslims.
"They also visited Mount Uhud, a historical site where a major battle took place during the early days of Islam, and visited Quba Mosque, the first mosque in Islam. "The importance of visiting these sites for the good of the Saudi officials, which are related to the early history of Islam, underscores the depth of our cultural and spiritual engagement," said Smriti on his X account."
The translation of "Jemaah Haji" to English is "Hajj Pilgrims."
The official statement from the officials regarding the visit conveyed that the Indian government is very committed to helping provide facilities and services for Indian Muslims performing the Hajj, thus giving them a comfortable and satisfying experience.
"Two days before this visit, India and Saudi Arabia signed a bilateral agreement in Jeddah regarding the 2024 hajj quota. India received a hajj quota of 175,025 this year."
