Dream - A man with the initials TR cruelly killed and mutilated his wife, YN, on a road near their residence in Dusun Sindangjaya, Rancah District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. The victim's body was found by local residents on Friday, May 3, 2024, around 07.30 AM, after the perpetrator daringly carried it in public.

"Before mutilating the victim, Joko continued, TR is suspected to have undergone a change in character and nature. They suspect that there was economic pressure that influenced the perpetrator's mental state. Based on information, the perpetrator is believed to have experienced stress due to the bankruptcy of their livestock business. It is suspected that this condition became the reason for the perpetrator offering several parts of their mutilated wife's body to the neighbors."

TR managed to resist when the police attempted to apprehend him. The resistance is believed to be due to TR experiencing depression. In a circulating video, the perpetrator was eventually subdued by tying his hands and feet. Then, the perpetrator was carried by the residents towards a police car.

"When secured at the scene, he looked like a depressed person. But we cannot conclude yet (the suspected perpetrator is depressed) waiting for the psychologist's statement," said Joko. The local RT chairman, Yoyo, admitted that he received the news when he was about to go to work. The perpetrator, he said, was carrying a basin allegedly containing pieces of the victim's body."

"He admitted to being offered meat in a bowl by the perpetrator. The meat is believed to be pieces of the perpetrator's wife's body. The police who arrived at the scene immediately created a sterile line and covered the victim's body parts using cloth."
