Dream - The case of a woman's murder in a suitcase found on the outskirts of Cikarang Barat District, Bekasi Regency, has finally been revealed. The victim, with the initials RM (50), was actually killed by AARN (28). RM was killed in a hotel in the Bandung area, West Java, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Her body was dumped on Kalimalang Street, Sukadanau Village, Cikarang. The perpetrator and the victim themselves had a working relationship. The last moment of RM's murder, whose body was found in a suitcase, was captured on CCTV.
"Victim Was Raped"
Police revealed that the victim had been raped by the perpetrator before being ultimately killed. The police stated that both the victim and the perpetrator worked at the same office, which is a company engaged in the food industry.
"Because the victim was raped," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, as quoted from Liputan6.com, Friday, May 3, 2024. Ade Ary has not yet specified whether the victim and the perpetrator had a special relationship. However, it is known that the perpetrator is already married."The perpetrator is already married, but not to the victim," he said.
"Office Money Robbery that Victim Kept"
Ade Ary mentioned that the perpetrator also stole office money from the victim. The plan is to deposit the money into the bank. The preliminary suspicion is that the murder was motivated by economic problems.
"Because the victim was raped, her money (office money intended to be deposited in the bank) was taken," said Ade. Ade Ary stated that the total amount of money taken away was worth Rp 43 million."
"Yes (money) that was taken was Rp43 million," he said. The police stated that the perpetrator was arrested before his wedding reception. Ade Ary added that the Rp43 million stolen by the perpetrator from the victim was planned to be deposited into the bank."
"Marriage Capital"
The money was originally intended to be used by the suspect to hold his wedding reception. The perpetrator planned to hold the reception on May 5, 2024.
"Behavior of the Perpetrator towards the Victim's Family"
One of the victim's family members, Anjar Gumilang, admitted to meeting the perpetrator a day after the victim was declared missing. Anjar visited the victim's office and asked about their whereabouts. The perpetrator approached Anjar and suggested that this case should not be reported to the police.
"The person had advised me and the late child not to immediately report to the police regarding the missing person case. It is better to try to discuss it with her husband's family first," said Anjar.
