Dream - Flood disaster triggered by a storm paralyzes several cities in the United Arab Emirates. In Dubai, the flood traps many drivers on the road, disrupting flights. Almost all residents feel the impact of the disaster, including Singapore socialite, Kim Lim, who is a tourist. Through her Instagram social media, Kim recounts the moment when she and her friends were trapped in a car for 8 hours. The story was uploaded on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Kim shared a number of photos and videos while inside the car, showing the surroundings. At that time, Kim was on the way to Dubai International Airport (DBX).

Initially, Kim Lim and the group intended to return to Singapore. However, the plan was eventually postponed due to the unfeasible airport conditions. They decided to stay at the previously passed Hotel Armani.
Throughout the journey, he shared the situation on the road which was flooded quite high. Some cars parked on the side of the road also appeared to be submerged in the flood.
"“We were supposed to go to the airport but in the end, I decided that it couldn't be confirmed. So I took the car to detour to Armani because I was on the way. We got stuck on the same highway for 6 hours. And the GPS kept saying 1 hour for 8 hours. It was a major crisis,”"

Together with many suitcases and items in her car, Kim Lim, who was currently sick, expressed her concern to the Dubai residents affected by the flood.
In his Instagram stories, he admitted to being hungry and needing to use the toilet when he was trapped on the journey. He also shared the atmosphere inside the Dubai Mall, which appeared deserted by visitors and many shops were closed.
As information, Kim Lim is known as the daughter of Singaporean billionaire, Peter Lim. According to Forbes website in 2018, her father ranked as the 11th richest person in Singapore. Peter Lim is known to have businesses in palm oil, pharmaceuticals, and is also the owner of Spanish football club, Valencia.
