The pilot, named Jakarin Sararnrakskul, knew for certain that he had enough time to return to Taipei so that the passenger could give birth. Finally, he decided to assist the woman in giving birth. The father of one then handed over control of the aircraft to the female co-pilot.

Although he has no experience assisting in childbirth, Jakarin appeared calm and successfully helped the passenger deliver her baby boy safely. According to AsiaOne, the baby boy was named Sky by the cabin crew because he was born on the plane during the flight.
