Dream - Surprising news came from the famous actress from the neighboring country Malaysia, Queenzy Cheng. Queenzy passed away suddenly on the filming location on Wednesday, 28 November 2023.
A health expert suspects that Queenzy's death was caused by the use of a hair dryer while filming. Queenzy was declared dead at the age of 37 after suffering a brain aneurysm. At that time, she was filming in Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia.
Feeling Unwell
"Before losing consciousness, Queenzy felt unwell for about 40 minutes. According to her co-star, Chai Zi, the shooting preparation started at 08:30 AM local time."
However, when shooting is scheduled for 10.30, Queenzy suddenly complained of feeling sick. "After styling her hair with a blow-dryer, she suddenly sat down and said she felt dizzy, then had a headache and wanted to vomit," said Chai Zi.
After complaining about the pain, Queenzy's heart rate suddenly jumped. Her hands, feet, and lips turned blue. Queenzy finally passed away at the shooting location, despite efforts to resuscitate her heart by the staff and paramedics.
"Health Expert's Explanation"
Meanwhile, health expert Dr. Eugene Chooi tries to explain the cause of Queenzy Cheng's death. Seeing Queenzy's symptoms such as dizziness, pain, and nausea, Dr. Eugene mentions that her symptoms are similar to an aneurysm (ruptured blood vessel). Another possibility is that Queenzy experienced arteriovenous malformation, which is an abnormal connection between an artery and a vein in the brain and spinal cord.
"After drying her hair, she said she felt dizzy, had a headache, and wanted to vomit. This clearly indicates symptoms of something affecting her head and nerves," said Dr. Eugene."
According to Dr. Eugene, brain aneurysms are usually undetected or unfelt by patients. The symptoms only appear when the patient is tired. "The high heat used to dry the hair causes increased blood circulation and ruptures blood vessels," explained Dr. Eugene.
"If this happens, blood will accumulate in the brain, causing the heart to pump faster. 'People around may say that he lacks sleep and drinks, or is busy working.' So he may take painkillers to cope with it. However, in such a situation, an aneurysm will not be detected," concluded Dr. Eugene.
