Masjid Babah Alun is the third mosque built by Jusuf Hamka.
Like in the shape of the roof, open elements and structures, as well as the use of distinctive colors, namely bright red, with walls in ivory white, which is a characteristic of the Chinese community.
Before entering, we are presented with a very unique door handle. It is round in shape and made of metal. On the door handle, there is Mandarin writing. Meanwhile, the keyhole is quite large and tucked at the top of the door handle.
This mosque began construction in 2019 and was inaugurated on August 20, 2020, coinciding with the Islamic New Year of 1442 Hijri. This mosque has a dome shape and Arabic calligraphy. Similar to other parts, the dome is predominantly painted in red, yellow, and green.
Apart from the prayer area, this mosque is equipped with several additional facilities. There is a rest area that can be used by drivers when they are tired and want to take a short break to relieve fatigue. There is also a supermarket called "pojok halal". All products sold are guaranteed to be halal and pocket-friendly. So anyone who stops by doesn't need to worry.
