However, creating a sculpture out of wool, especially when it comes to a dog with short fur like the Pinscher, is not an easy task. The realistic appearance of the sculpture is the result of the complexity of the project. Terumi has been working on it periodically for the past seven years, while completing other tasks. He estimates that he has spent over 500 hours on the project, which sounds like a large amount, but the result is perfect.

"Because the Pinscher's body is not covered in fur, the entire area, including the face, must be carved with precision," said Terumi Ota. "In addition, the hair transplantation process for Miniature Pinschers also takes much longer compared to long-haired breeds. It requires many times more effort." To produce short fur for the Pinscher, several types of wool must be mixed and then painstakingly implanted into a frame using small needles. If the distance between each strand of fur is only a few millimeters, the result will not look good, so it needs to be implanted without gaps."
