Dream - Loyal viewers of the Clash of Champions (COC) Ruangguru event must be familiar with the figure of Shakira Amirah. This hijab-wearing student from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at the University of Indonesia (UI) is one of the participants in COC who has attracted a lot of attention from the audience. Besides being a medical student with a high GPA of 3.82, this woman, who is affectionately called Shakira, is also productive in conducting research by publishing dozens of Scopus-indexed journals before graduating from undergraduate studies (S1).

During studying at the undergraduate level, Shakira participated in research. She was responsible for data analysis, coding in R studio, and data extraction. She also had a role in proposing the title and novelty aspects of her research. Her activeness emerged when she was in the second semester, where she observed many professors and senior students publishing journals in Scopus. This allowed her to learn a lot from their experiences.

Shakira started to try to write scientific works, which activity brought joy in herself. Even when participating in competitions and winning, the prize she received she used to improve her abilities.

Shakira has shared a post about tips to be able to publish in Scopus journals. She admits to using two applications, namely Review Manager and R Studio. Both of these tools have their advantages and disadvantages. According to her, Review Manager is good for beginners and does not require coding skills.

However, this tool has limited features and must be paid to access it. Meanwhile, R Studio is free with unlimited features. However, users must learn coding first.

According to Esaunggul, Scopus is a scientific journal database managed by the scientific information company Elsevier. This journal database was released in 2004 and indexes over 24,000 scientific journals, conferences, and book series from around the world. Journals that want to be indexed by Scopus must go through a rigorous process. Starting from a review process consisting of experts in the relevant field. Then, they must have accreditation within a leading scientific journal organization.

Journal that has been successfully indexed by Scopus is known as an accredited journal and has a level of influence measured through Scimago Journal Rank (SJR). In addition, Scopus also provides a service to assess whether a journal has significant impact or not. Therefore, journals that have been indexed by Scopus will be the primary choice for many researchers and academics to disseminate research results and gain international recognition.
