Designed by a local artist named Callum Morton, Hotel EastLink was established in 2007 on the edge of the Australian highway, and since then many drivers have been confused by the building. Although not as tall as a skyscraper, the building with a height of 20 meters, width of 12 meters, and length of 5 meters, will make it difficult for people to distinguish it when passing by the road for the first time. Therefore, it is not surprising that many people want to find out about the hotel online and even call for reservations.

"At night, some windows of the building will be lit up, so it appears as if there are several rooms being occupied. But in reality, there are no rooms, and the building itself cannot be entered. Drivers will see it from their cars, thinking that the building is a real hotel, and over time, many may consider it as a strange structure that emerged from an amusement park. Initially, the large rectangular building with a big red sign that says 'HOTEL' on top of it seemed quite ordinary.
