Dream - There is still a chance to choose a place to celebrate the New Year's Eve tomorrow, Dream Friends. With limited time but wanting this year's celebration to feel different, you can choose Thousand Islands as one of the options.

Surrounded by the open sea, celebrating the New Year in the Thousand Islands feels complete when we can enjoy it while eating grilled food while looking at the stars and fireworks in the dark sky with family or friends.

Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Andika Permata said that the New Year's Eve celebration in the Thousand Islands will be held on Untung Jawa Island.

In addition, the Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo revealed that there are 41 ships ready to serve passengers to cross to Untung Jawa Island.

"For public ship services, there are already 22 ships available that will sail. Then the Dishub ship has a total of 19 ships that will be utilized there," said Syafrin recently.

Head of the Unit for Managing Water Transportation Services (UP AP) of the Jakarta Transportation Agency Wahyu Wijayanto added that prospective passengers can buy Dishub ship tickets through the Jaket Boat application that can be downloaded on Google Play or the App Store.

The Dishub ship crossing fare from Muara Angke Port to the Thousand Islands is still subject to a nearly half price discount from the normal fare, in accordance with Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 61 of 2020 which has been in effect since June 2020, namely zone 1 for Rp23,000, zone 2 for Rp28,000, and zone 2 plus for Rp38,000.

It is known that the ferry fare is also regulated into three zones. First, zone 1 serves the Muara Angke - Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, and Lancang Island routes and vice versa.

Then, zone 2 serves the crossing from Muara Angke to Pramuka Island, Payung Island, Tidung Island, Panggang Island, and from Kelapa Island to Sebira Island and vice versa. Finally, zone 2 plus serves the voyage from Muara Angke to Sebira Island.

Every day, starting at 08.00 WIB, 2-5 ships are dispatched from Muara Angke Port to the Thousand Islands. Departures are divided into three lanes, namely lane one serving the Muara Angke Port - Untung Jawa Island - Lancang Island - Payung Island - Tidung Island routes.

Lane two serves the Muara Angke Port - Untung Jawa Island - Pari Island - Panggang Island - Pramuka Island routes. Meanwhile, lane three serves the Muara Angke Port - Kelapa Island - Sebira Island routes.

Traditional boat departures are made every day at 08.00 WIB. If the passenger condition is crowded, they will make adjustments by increasing the number of ship departures at 11.00 WIB.

For buyers who use public transportation to access Muara Angke Port, it is better to take the Transjakarta bus from Kota Station to Muara Angke Port.

Or if you want to bring a private vehicle, don't worry because there is overnight parking available. Two-wheeled vehicles are charged Rp2,000 and Rp2,000 for each subsequent hour.

Then, overnight parking is charged Rp25,000 per day. Meanwhile, four-wheeled vehicle parking is charged Rp4,000 and Rp3,000 for each subsequent hour. As for overnight parking for four-wheeled vehicles, the fee is Rp45,000 per day.

Onrust Island

Onrust Island is generally visited on a one-day trip along with Cipir Island and Kelor Island. Onrust Island was originally a hajj dormitory established by the Dutch East Indies government for Indonesian hajj pilgrims.

The name of this island comes from the Dutch word 'Onrust' which means 'Never Resting', because during the Dutch colonial era, Onrust Island became a center of warehousing and a busy place for the comings and goings of Dutch navy ships. Since 1972, Onrust Island has been officially designated as a Cultural Heritage by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ali Sadikin, and until now it remains one of the favorite destinations in the Thousand Islands.
